APrevent VOIS receives 2024 German NUB subsidy

With the features of post-operative adjustment and standardized surgical procedures, APrevent VOIS can effectively reduce the consumption of medical resources and provide high cost-effectiveness, it has won the German “New examination and treatment methods subsidy” (NUB) again this year (2024). Since 2021, APrevent VOIS has received NUB subsidies every year, and the number of approved hospitals has increased from 4 to 43 this year (2024), all of which are approved at the highest level status 1 without providing additional details of individual cases. APrevent are looking forward to benefit more patients with glottic insufficiency with VOIS by giving them their voice back along with confidence, dignity and life-quality.

 

What is NUB?

NUB, Neue Untersuchungs- und Behandlungsmethoden, is a payment scheme for remunerating cost-intensive "innovative" services and technologies that are used in addition to the procedures included in existing DRG-case payment and is only open to technologies/procedures that are considered "innovative and new" in Germany, with only 20% of all applicants receiving the approval.
