APrevent’s AiSpeak won Qualcomm Innovate in Taiwan Challenge (QITC) 2022

APrevent’s AiSpeak won the first place at Qualcomm Innovate in Taiwan Challenge (QITC) 2022. The ceremony was hosted at 2022 Meet Taipei Exhibition. This year, there were 10 companies shortlisted in April for a six-month incubation program. During the program, We successfully integrated AiSpeak into both Qualcomm’s C610 and Snapgragon 888 processors. We also learned how to accelerate runtime for the execution of machine learning with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE). These achievements lead us starting to explore possible opportunity for future applications with various IoT products to benefit people’s lives, especially for those with special needs.

The QITC 2022 is a continuation of an initiative by Qualcomm, run by its affiliate Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI), that was started in 2019 to support the development of Taiwan’s ICT ecosystem by identifying and nurturing innovative, new small and medium-sized companies and products. This Qualcomm initiative is a collaboration with Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) to support the growth of Taiwanese startups in areas such as 5G, cellular connected IoT, machine learning, smart cities, and multimedia with Qualcomm’s mobile platforms and technologies.
